Terms of Service

Last updated August 9, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Remotera. They are deliberately short and readable: Remotera collects job postings from public sources, helps you find the relevant ones, and — if you ask it to — fills out and submits applications for you. Using the Service means you accept these terms. If you do not, please don’t use it.

Who you are dealing with

Remotera is an independent, community-driven project. Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Your account

You need an account for anything that acts on your behalf. Keep your sign-in details to yourself — anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Give us accurate information, particularly in your applicant profile: it is sent to real employers. You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to work in the roles you apply to.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to:

  • apply on someone else’s behalf, or submit information you know to be false;
  • mass-apply indiscriminately to roles you have no intention of taking;
  • bulk-copy the job catalogue, resell it, or rebuild a competing listing from it;
  • probe, overload, or work around the Service’s rate limits, quotas, or access controls;
  • post abusive, deceptive, or unlawful content in comments or reactions;
  • misuse an API key, share one, or use the Service in a way that breaks the rules of the sites you apply through.

We may suspend or close an account that does any of the above.

Applications you send

When the Service fills or submits an application, it is your application. You are responsible for what it says. By default, filling stops before submission so you can review the values; if you turn on automatic submission, you are authorising us to send them without a further check. Review your profile before you rely on it.

We cannot guarantee that an application arrives, that it is processed, or that anyone replies. The destination site is not ours: it can change its form, reject the submission, or go down. If an application matters, verify it on the employer’s side.

AI-generated content

Answers, summaries, relevance scores, and tailored résumé text are produced by language models. They get things wrong, and they can be confidently wrong. Treat everything the Service generates as a draft to check, not as a fact — especially anything you are about to send to an employer.

Job listings

Job postings on Remotera are collected from public sources — Telegram channels, Reddit, company career pages, and applicant-tracking systems — and are then parsed automatically. We are not the employer, the recruiter, or an agent of either, and we do not vet the people behind a posting. We do not guarantee that a posting is accurate, current, legitimate, or that the job exists. Salary figures, locations, and requirements are extracted by software and may be wrong.

Never send money, financial details, or identity documents to an employer you found through us in order to get hired. If a posting looks fraudulent, tell us and we will remove it.

If you are the owner of a posting or the site it came from and you want it removed, write to us at the address below and we will take it down.

Content you post

Comments and reactions you leave are public and are shown with your display name. You keep ownership of what you write; you give us permission to display, store, and distribute it as part of the Service. We may remove content or restrict an account for the reasons listed under acceptable use.

Price

The Service is currently free. We do not process payments and we do not collect card details. Paid plans may be introduced later; if that happens, features you use today will not silently start charging you — you would have to opt in, and we will announce it here first.

Availability and changes

Remotera runs on modest infrastructure. It may be slow, unavailable, or interrupted, and features may change or disappear without notice. We can modify or discontinue any part of the Service, including your access to it, at any time.

Intellectual property

The Remotera name, site, extension, and software are ours. Job postings belong to whoever published them; we present them with attribution and a link to the source. Nothing here transfers ownership of our software or the underlying job data to you.

No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. You use it at your own risk, and you remain responsible for your own job search.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, for lost opportunities, lost employment, or lost data, or for anything an employer or a third-party site does with your application. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you break these terms or if the Service is discontinued. When your account is deleted, your personal data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disputes

If something goes wrong, write to us first — almost everything can be settled by email, and we will make a genuine effort to resolve it. Nothing here takes away any mandatory right you have under the consumer-protection law of the country you live in.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We will revise the “last updated” date above; if a change materially affects your rights, we will make that clear here. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
