What you'll do

  • Support development of innovative BMS (Battery Management Systems).
  • Assist software development engineers depending on individual strengths, with focus on software quality, tooling infrastructure, and internal diagnostics.
  • Bridge hardware validation and high-level software while deepening knowledge of electric vehicle batteries and electronics development.
  • Drive code quality through active refactoring, code clean-ups, and maintenance of existing codebases.
  • Design and implement common libraries to streamline development across multiple projects.
  • Support development of core BMS algorithms, including life-cycle calculations such as State of Health.
  • Enhance reliability of the flash tool.
  • Implement standard UDS support.
  • Ensure flash tool configurability.
  • Add Over-the-Air flashing capabilities.
  • Develop a simple, user-friendly UI tool for HW, Validation, and EMC teams.
  • Abstract implementation details to allow easy hardware testing via interfaces using UDS and debug CAN.
  • Build and maintain metrics dashboards to visualize runtime metrics.
  • Ensure dashboard compatibility across all projects.
  • Implement automated alerts for anomalies.

What they require

  • Bachelor or master student in software engineering, mechatronics, physics, or a similar engineering field.
  • Strong initial experience in C/C++ and Python.
  • Preferred: Experience with UI frameworks is a plus.
  • Preferred: Basic understanding of communication protocols is highly beneficial.
  • Highly motivated, willing to take responsibility and ownership of a project.
  • Creativity, curiosity, and enthusiasm for innovative electronics solutions for electric vehicles.
  • Preference for working in teams and strong communication skills.
  • English mandatory.
