What you'll do

  • Design, build, and optimize modern, responsive, and conversion-focused websites.
  • Combine UI/UX design with hands-on website implementation.
  • Work across platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, and Squarespace.
  • Own projects from visual concepts and layouts through CMS implementation, responsive testing, SEO optimization, and ongoing improvements.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and responsive website designs using Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Design modern landing pages, marketing websites, business websites, and campaign pages.
  • Apply strong principles around visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, navigation, usability, and conversion-focused design.
  • Maintain consistency with established brand guidelines and design systems.
  • Build and customize websites using WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, and Squarespace.
  • Customize themes, templates, and layouts.
  • Use HTML and CSS for custom implementations and styling.
  • Apply light JavaScript customization when needed.
  • Configure forms, plugins, integrations, tracking tools, and website widgets.
  • Build reusable components and scalable CMS structures.
  • Optimize websites for page speed, mobile responsiveness, accessibility, SEO, and user experience.
  • Implement on-page SEO fundamentals, including metadata, heading structures, image optimization, and schema basics.
  • Run performance audits using Google Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, and GTmetrix.
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting site performance and usability.
  • Test websites across desktop, mobile, tablets, and major browsers.
  • Troubleshoot responsive design issues, formatting problems, plugin conflicts, and CMS issues.
  • Manage routine website updates and maintenance.
  • Ensure websites remain stable, secure, and fully functional.
  • Collaborate with marketing, content, and leadership teams.
  • Build landing pages supporting lead generation, marketing campaigns, and product launches.
  • Implement stakeholder feedback quickly and accurately.
  • Maintain organized design assets and reusable website components.

What they require

  • 2+ years of professional website design experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of: WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Squarespace.
  • Strong HTML and CSS skills.
  • Experience building responsive websites.
