We are seeking an experienced Water Treatment Technical Expert to enhance water treatment process engineering capabilities on a national basis.

What you'll do

  • Provide technical leadership for treatment process selection, design, optimization, pilot testing, and commissioning.
  • Support project delivery, staff development and mentorship, and technical innovation.
  • Provide insights into firm water treatment strategy and provide technical approaches to support key pursuits.
  • Identify market trends, emerging water quality issues, client needs, and technical expertise needed to capitalize on ever changing water services.
  • Help build strong relationships, including interacting regularly with internal staff, clients, teaming partners, industry groups, and stakeholders.
  • Reinforce collaboration and team building, ensuring client focus, demonstrate commitment to excellence design, and motivate others to ensure positive morale
  • Work directly with clients on the projects and tasks that Olsson is leading, developing long-term client relationships.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve successful water treatment design of water treatment facilities.
  • Mentor, guide, and develop other team members to become technical experts within the water sector.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of drinking water industry experience, including process design and engineering.
  • Must be a licensed professional engineer (PE).
  • Strong technical background and experience in the municipal water market, water treatment, water quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring others.
  • Active professional organization participation.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
