What you'll do

  • Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five (5) or more hours per day, every scheduled instructional day, creating an engaging and structured virtual classroom experience that inspires student participation and achievement.
  • Use student performance data to personalize instruction, identify learning gaps, and adapt your approach to meet each student where they are.
  • Provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work and maintain accurate records that keep students and families informed and on track.
  • Build genuine relationships with students and families through professional, proactive communication that fosters trust and shared accountability for learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure students receive consistent, high-quality support across their learning experience.

What they require

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field and an active state teaching license in Minnesota and/or Kansas in Global Languages: Spanish grades 6-12.
  • You have experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings and are comfortable with the unique demands of a live online classroom.
  • You are confident and engaging on camera, able to teach live for five (5) or more consecutive hours per day, every instructional day, and build real connection with students through a screen.
  • You have hands-on experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.
  • You are data-informed: you know how to read student performance data and use it to adjust your live instruction in meaningful ways.
  • You are an excellent communicator, in writing and verbally, and you know how to meet students, families, and colleagues where they are.
  • You are highly organized and self-directed, with the time management skills to independently manage a full student caseload in a remote environment.
  • You are committed to your own professional growth, maintaining certification and staying current on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.
  • You bring integrity, warmth, and a deep belief that every student can succeed, values that align with Edmentum’s mission.
