What you'll do

  • Own end-to-end editing of medium and long-form YouTube videos, turning raw footage from shoots and interviews into clear, well-paced stories.
  • Work independently from brief to locked cut, making first calls on structure, selects, music, and pacing.
  • Review cuts with stakeholders and the creative team for brand alignment.
  • Handle the full audio pass on projects, including dialogue clean-up and levelling, music selection, simple sound design, and mixing to delivery specs.
  • Manage colour correction and grading for a consistent, on-brand look, including footage from mixed sources such as multiple cameras, screen recordings, and archive footage.
  • Use existing motion design templates and graphic assets to add lower thirds, captions, end screens, and simple overlays.
  • Apply and lightly customize templates in After Effects and/or Premiere Pro.
  • Build simple graphics that enhance storytelling.
  • Finish and deliver masters to spec, including correct codecs and aspect ratios, accurate captions and timestamps, and organized handoffs.
  • Keep projects organized so anyone on the team could pick up where you left off.
  • Collaborate closely with the cinematographer, motion designers, and localization team across review rounds.

What they require

  • 7+ years of experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio of long-form content such as 10+ minute interviews, documentary-style videos, tutorials, or podcasts.
  • Strong narrative editing craft, with ability to make confident calls on structure, pacing, and story from raw footage with minimal oversight.
  • Solid audio post skills, including dialogue editing, music selection, basic sound design, and mixing to delivery specs.
  • Already started incorporating AI solutions into workflow to speed up processes.
  • Working knowledge of colour correction, including matching shots from mixed footage sources and applying LUTs and presets consistently.
  • Comfort applying motion graphic templates such as lower thirds, captions, and simple overlays in After Effects and/or Premiere Pro.
  • Fluent in Premiere Pro as primary editing tool.
  • Organized, detail-oriented approach to file structure, naming conventions, and versioning.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working autonomously while staying aligned with brand and creative direction.
  • Preferred: Motion design or animation experience.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with YouTube long-form conventions and pacing for watch time and retention.
  • Preferred: On-set experience assisting with long-form content to enhance final footage for editing.
