No BS summary

VP-level Go‑to‑Market Strategy & Commercial Operations leader, 12+ yrs in B2B enterprise software, must have built a GTM function from scratch. Owns both GTM design and the commercial operations engine (deal desk, comp, territory). 100% remote anywhere in the US.

Optional skills

Salesforce Revenue Cloud

What you'll do

  • Lead and execute the GTM strategy across all commercial motions
  • Own the prioritized GTM roadmap and lead the cross‑functional GTM forum
  • Define ideal customer profile, segmentation, and launch architecture for enterprise and Fortune 500 buyers
  • Design partner and channel plays, and the expansion playbook for the installed base
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive analysis to the executive team
  • Align with Marketing and PMM on launch timing and offering framing
  • Own GTM metric reporting: pipeline contribution, launch performance, partner‑sourced revenue, attach rates
  • Run Annual Planning end‑to‑end: territory design, customer segmentation refresh, commercial org design
  • Design the sales compensation framework — quota methodology, plan structure, performance mechanics
  • Map and own the customer journey across the full commercial lifecycle (prospect → contract → onboard → deliver → expand)
  • Lead commercial performance reporting for Sales, Partners, Services, and Support (pipeline, bookings, forecasting, quota attainment)
  • Identify automation opportunities and implement AI‑powered workflows across GTM and delivery processes
  • Partner with IT on systems architecture and integrations for process automation
  • Own and build Deal Desk: pricing, approvals, contracting engine
  • Redesign and automate the Quote‑to‑Cash workflow for frictionless approvals, discounting governance, and contract execution
  • Partner with Finance on pricing operations, Deal Desk governance, and audit‑readiness
  • Establish Deal Desk as a commercial accelerant, not a bottleneck
  • Lead a team from day one: GTM Director, Sales Ops (3–4), Strategic Planners, and Deal Desk Operations
  • Serve as the CBO’s partner on market opportunities, offer architecture, and commercial operations investments

What they require

  • REQUIRED: 12+ years in GTM strategy, commercial strategy, or commercial operations in B2B enterprise software — including Director+ or VP‑level experience
  • REQUIRED: GTM strategy as the core lens; commercial operations as the differentiator (you can design the motion and run the machine)
  • REQUIRED: Have built a GTM function, commercial operations team, or integrated GTM model from scratch
  • REQUIRED: Track record of leading through influence across Product, Sales, Marketing, Partners, Finance, and IT (including peers and leaders you don’t manage)
  • REQUIRED: Fluency in enterprise selling: long cycles, multi‑stakeholder buying committees, 6–7‑figure contracts
  • REQUIRED: Hands‑on experience with sales compensation design, territory planning, and commercial performance reporting
  • REQUIRED: Familiarity with Deal Desk, Quote‑to‑Cash, or pricing operations
  • REQUIRED: Strong analytical grounding — sizing markets, defining metrics, defending a plan with data at executive level
  • REQUIRED: Executive presence — credible peer to a CBO and functional leadership; communicates clearly up, down, across
  • REQUIRED: Frequent mix of travel (≈ 15%)
  • PREFERRED: Experience with data products, data licensing, or data‑as‑a‑service models — especially in AI or analytics contexts
  • PREFERRED: Hands‑on experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud or a comparable commercial systems platform
  • PREFERRED: Familiarity with AI‑powered workflow design
  • PREFERRED: Experience operating across US and EU markets with global or regionally distributed teams
  • PREFERRED: Background spanning direct, partner, and professional services delivery models
  • REQUIRED: Use AI to accelerate strategic research (synthesizing competitive intel, market sizing, win/loss themes, commercial performance data)
  • REQUIRED: Comfort with drafting/iterating on boards (GTM playbooks, compensation frameworks, segmentation models) with AI assistance while critically editing
  • REQUIRED: Apply AI to performance reporting: surface pipeline anomalies, generate narrative summaries, monitor territory and quota health
  • REQUIRED: Critically evaluate AI‑generated process designs and automation outputs before presenting to stakeholders
  • PREFERRED: Use AI to synthesize cross‑functional signal (CRM, customer, analyst, delivery data) into prioritized recommendations
  • PREFERRED: Proactively identify AI automation for low‑value coordination (meeting summaries, readiness checklists, status rollups)
  • PREFERRED: Hands‑on experience deploying AI workflows within commercial processes (automated approvals, AI‑assisted quoting, routing)

  • Career development opportunities
  • Growth and learning opportunities
  • Community building (via Openness, Determination, Individuality, Collaboration)
  • Work‑from‑anywhere culture
  • 20 worldwide offices, 30+ global presence
