What you'll do

  • Manage renewals with a live register of every material agreement, including notice periods and lead times for process execution.
  • Negotiate directly with vendor deal desks, setting strategy and walk-away positions.
  • Monitor consumption and seat utilization against commitment, flagging overage exposure.
  • Implement spend controls across material vendors to limit over-consumption risk and improve internal cost savings.
  • Rationalize duplicate tools, unused licenses, and utilization gaps, recommending cuts.

What they require

  • Proven experience in software procurement, vendor management, or IT sourcing, ideally within a fast-growing SaaS or tech business.
  • Track record of negotiating enterprise software agreements directly with vendor deal desks.
  • Strong commercial acumen with comfort reading contracts, usage-based pricing models, and consumption data.
  • Experience building and maintaining a software/vendor register at scale.
  • Solid financial literacy: ability to build a budget line, track actuals against forecast, and report variance.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally between IT, Finance, and the wider business.
  • Experience designing or improving procurement policy.
  • Bias for action: comfortable creating process and structure where none currently exists.
