What you'll do

  • Proactively identify and navigate account-level challenges partnering with customers to deliver compliant solutions that support patient care.
  • Develop and execute HCP and account-level business plans rooted in shared priorities, clinical insight, and access considerations.
  • Educate HCPs and practice teams on non-clinical barriers to care including access and reimbursement tools relevant to ultra-rare disease management.
  • Maintain understanding of patient flow, drug acquisition, and practice dynamics to support timely treatment initiation and continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with field-based and home-office partners to address HCP needs and share market access insights.
  • Leverage knowledge of the ultra-rare disease landscape, competitors, and industry trends to anticipate opportunities.
  • Analyze territory-level data and market trends to inform strategy and lead virtual and in-person engagements with HCPs.
  • Lead cross-functional planning discussions to solve complex HCP challenges.
  • Orchestrate Novartis resources for assigned HCPs, coordinating across Medical, Access, and Patient Support teams and personalizing engagement via omni-channel capabilities.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree required from 4-year college or university.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically dispersed sales teams within the last 5 years (leveling guidelines specify ranges for Associate/Territory/Senior/Executive).
  • Proven track-record of consistent high-performance selling to large accounts and key customers.
  • Self-starter with analytic abilities to prioritize and apply information to solve customer needs while demonstrating ethical leadership and compliance.
  • Candidate must reside within territory or within a 50-mile daily commuting distance of the territory border.
  • Ability to travel 60-80% over a broad geography; ability to drive and/or fly within the territory.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
