What you'll do

  • Represent clients in court trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Develop case strategies and present arguments before judges and juries.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Interview witnesses, gather evidence, and prepare for trial.
  • Negotiate settlements and plea agreements when appropriate.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on litigation matters.
  • Work collaboratively with legal teams, paralegals, and investigators.
  • Stay up to date with changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
  • Manage and supervise junior attorneys and support staff.
  • Review and analyze complex employment law documents and contracts.
  • Monitor compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Participate in client development and business generation activities.
  • Maintain detailed case files and documentation.
  • Develop and implement litigation budgets.
  • Coordinate with expert witnesses and consultants.

What they require

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
  • 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in class actions or complex civil litigation.
  • Trial experience, including depositions, motions, and courtroom advocacy.
  • Strong background in procedural rules governing class actions (e.g., Rule 23 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-million dollar class action settlements.
  • Track record of successful class certification motions.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.
  • Superior project management and team leadership capabilities.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling large-scale settlements or mass tort litigation.
  • Background in consumer protection, securities fraud, employment law, or antitrust cases.
  • Strong network and reputation in the legal community for class action litigation.
  • Advanced degree in Labor Law, Employment Law, or related field.
  • Federal court litigation experience.
  • Publication record in legal journals or speaking engagements at industry conferences.
