What you'll do

  • Prospecting New Business: driving to farms, attending local cattle auctions and industry association meetings, generating outbound leads and handling inbound leads.
  • In-Field Sales: meeting customers on-ranch, demonstrating Halter, assisting in-field activities (e.g. riding, helping gather cattle).
  • Expanding Existing Opportunities: growing accounts and upselling within existing customers.
  • Hitting Sales Targets: managing pipeline and meeting ambitious growth targets.
  • Customer Account Management: maintaining relationships post-sale, ensuring satisfaction and smooth handoff to onboarding/deployment teams.
  • Territory Ownership: owning Western Iowa territory, engaging stakeholders and regional agricultural groups.
  • Customer Onboarding: owning end-to-end onboarding and deployment experience for customers.
  • Field Learnings & Feedback: collecting and advocating customer feedback to product and support teams.
  • Collaborating with Support Teams: working with internal teams to resolve customer issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Attending Industry Events: participating in events like CattleCon and local livestock meetups to generate leads and network.
  • Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: working with broader team to refine and scale sales processes in the US market.

What they require

  • Ranching / Cattle Experience: familiarity with ranching or cattle operations.
  • Sales & Customer Success Expertise: history of creating new business, negotiating value-based sales, and building lasting customer relationships.
  • Territory Management experience: experience managing a large territory with focus on sales and customer success, ideally within agriculture or technology.
  • Driven Attitude & Communication skills: results-driven, motivated, adaptable with strong communication.
  • Problem Solving & Collaboration ability: resourceful and quick-thinking, able to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to Travel: frequent travel within the territory.
