What you'll do

  • Prospecting New Business: driving to farms, attending local cattle auctions, meeting livestock associations, building pipeline through outbound lead generation and fielding inbound leads.
  • In-Field Sales: conducting on-site demonstrations and customer engagements on ranches (kitchen table, horseback, side-by-side).
  • Expanding Existing Opportunities: identifying upsell/expansion within existing customers.
  • Hitting Sales Targets: managing pipeline and meeting ambitious growth targets.
  • Customer Account Management: maintaining relationships post-sale, supporting satisfaction and deployment handoffs.
  • Territory Ownership: owning Virginia territory, meeting stakeholders and regional agricultural groups.
  • Customer Onboarding: owning end-to-end onboarding and deployment experience for customers.
  • Field Learnings & Feedback: gathering customer feedback and advocating for product improvements.
  • Collaborating with Support Teams: partnering with Product, Support, and Onboarding to resolve customer issues.
  • Attending Industry Events: representing Halter at industry events to generate leads and deepen relationships.
  • Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: providing field input to optimize the sales process for US market.

What they require

  • Ranching / Cattle Experience (preferred): knowledge of ranching or cattle operations to connect with customers.
  • Sales & Customer Success Expertise: history creating new business, negotiating value-based sales conversations, and building lasting customer relationships.
  • Territory Management experience: managing a large territory balancing sales and customer success, ideally in agriculture or technology.
  • Driven Attitude & Communication skills: results-driven, motivated, adaptable, strong communicator.
  • Willingness to Travel: frequent travel within the Virginia territory.
