What you'll do

  • Prospecting New Business: drive outbound lead generation, attend local cattle auctions and livestock association meetings, field inbound leads and manage administrative tasks.
  • In-Field Sales: conduct on-ranch demonstrations and engage customers in the field (kitchen table, saddle, side-by-side).
  • Expanding Existing Opportunities: identify upsell and expansion opportunities with existing customers.
  • Hitting Sales Targets: manage pipeline and meet ambitious growth targets.
  • Customer Account Management: maintain relationships post-sale, ensure ongoing satisfaction and smooth handoffs to onboarding/deployment teams.
  • Territory Ownership: own the South West Wyoming territory and build relationships with regional agricultural groups and stakeholders.
  • Customer Onboarding: own end-to-end onboarding and deployment experience for customers in territory.
  • Field Learnings & Feedback: gather customer feedback and advocate for customer needs.
  • Collaborating with Support Teams: work with internal teams to resolve customer issues and escalate as needed.
  • Attending Industry Events: represent Halter at industry events to generate leads and deepen relationships.
  • Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: provide input to optimize and evolve the sales process for the US market.

What they require

  • Ranching / Cattle Experience: experience in ranching or cattle operations.
  • Sales & Customer Success Expertise: strong history of generating new business, negotiating value-based sales conversations, and building lasting customer relationships.
  • Territory Management experience: experience managing a large territory with focus on sales and customer success, ideally within agriculture or technology.
  • Driven Attitude & Communication skills: results-driven, motivated, adaptable, and strong communicator.
  • Problem Solving & Collaboration ability: resourceful and able to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to Travel: frequent travel within the territory required.
