What you'll do

  • Prospecting New Business: driving up driveways, attending local cattle auctions, meeting with local livestock associations, building pipeline through outbound lead generation and fielding inbound leads.
  • In-Field Sales: conducting on-ranch demonstrations and customer conversations in person (kitchen table, saddle, side-by-side).
  • Expanding Existing Opportunities: upselling and expanding relationships with existing customers.
  • Hitting Sales Targets: managing pipeline and meeting high-growth sales goals.
  • Customer Account Management: maintaining relationships post-sale and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Territory Ownership: owning the Piney Woods territory, meeting stakeholders and regional agricultural groups.
  • Customer Onboarding: owning end-to-end onboarding and deployment experience for customers.
  • Field Learnings & Feedback: gathering customer feedback and advocating for customer needs.
  • Collaborating with Support Teams: partnering across Halter to resolve customer issues and escalate as needed.
  • Attending Industry Events: representing Halter at CattleCon and local livestock meetups to generate leads.
  • Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: working with the broader team to optimize and evolve the sales process.

What they require

  • Ranching / Cattle Experience: familiarity with ranching or cattle operations.
  • Sales & Customer Success Expertise: history of creating new business opportunities, negotiating value-based sales conversations, and building lasting customer relationships.
  • Territory Management experience: experience managing a large territory with focus on sales and customer success, ideally within agriculture or technology.
  • Driven Attitude & Communication skills: results-driven, motivated, adaptable, and proactive communicator.
  • Problem Solving & Collaboration ability: resourceful and quick-thinking, works well with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to Travel: frequent travel within the territory is required.
