What you'll do

  • Prospecting New Business: drive local outbound lead generation, attend auctions and local association events, field inbound leads in timely manner.
  • In-Field Sales: conduct sales conversations on ranches, demonstrate product value in-person and assist customers in-field.
  • Expanding Existing Opportunities: identify upsell opportunities and expand relationships with existing customers.
  • Hitting Sales Targets: manage pipeline and achieve ambitious sales targets.
  • Customer Account Management: maintain relationships post-sale, support customers, and ensure smooth handoffs to onboarding and deployment teams.
  • Territory Ownership: own the Ohio territory, build relationships with local/state/federal stakeholders and agricultural groups.
  • Customer Onboarding: own end-to-end onboarding experience during implementation.
  • Field Learnings & Feedback: gather and advocate customer feedback to Product and Support teams.
  • Collaborating with Support Teams: work cross-functionally to resolve customer issues and escalate as needed.
  • Attending Industry Events: represent Halter at industry events to generate leads and deepen relationships.
  • Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: provide input to optimize and scale US sales processes.

What they require

  • Driven attitude & communication skills: results-driven, motivated, adaptable and proactive.
  • Ranching / Cattle Experience: knowledge of ranching or cattle operations to connect with customers.
  • Sales & Customer Success Expertise: proven history creating new business opportunities, negotiating value-based sales, and building lasting customer relationships.
  • Territory Management experience: experience managing a large territory balancing sales and customer success, ideally within agriculture or technology.
  • Problem Solving & Collaboration ability: resourceful, quick-thinking, and able to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to Travel: frequent travel within the territory.
