What you'll do

  • Prospecting New Business: driving to farms, attending cattle auctions, meeting livestock associations, building pipeline through outbound lead generation and fielding inbound leads in a timely manner.
  • In-Field Sales: conducting on-ranch demonstrations, helping customers in the field, and discussing Halter's value in-person.
  • Expanding Existing Opportunities: identifying upsell opportunities and expanding relationships with existing customers.
  • Hitting Sales Targets: managing pipeline and meeting high-growth sales targets.
  • Customer Account Management: maintaining close post-sale relationships, ensuring satisfaction, and coordinating handoff to onboarding and deployment teams.
  • Territory Ownership: owning the North East Missouri territory and building relationships with local, state, and federal agricultural stakeholders.
  • Customer Onboarding: owning end-to-end onboarding and deployment experience for customers.
  • Field Learnings & Feedback: collecting customer feedback and advocating for customer needs.
  • Collaborating with Support Teams: working with internal teams to resolve customer issues and escalate as needed.
  • Attending Industry Events: representing Halter at events like CattleCon and local livestock meetups.
  • Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: providing input to optimize and evolve the sales process for the US market.

What they require

  • Ranching / Cattle Experience
  • Sales & Customer Success Experience with history of creating new business opportunities and negotiating value-based sales conversations
  • Territory Management experience managing a large territory with a focus on sales and customer success (ideally within agriculture or technology)
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the territory
  • Driven attitude and strong communication skills; resourceful and collaborative
