What you'll do

  • Prospecting New Business: drive local outbound lead generation, attend cattle auctions and local association events, field inbound leads and manage pipeline.
  • In-Field Sales: meet customers on-ranch, demonstrate value, assist hands-on with cattle/ranch tasks as needed.
  • Expanding Existing Opportunities: identify upsell and expansion opportunities with existing customers.
  • Hitting Sales Targets: manage pipeline to meet ambitious growth targets and quotas.
  • Customer Account Management: maintain post-sale relationships, ensure satisfaction and address challenges.
  • Territory Ownership: own and develop the East Idaho territory, build relationships with local/state/federal stakeholders and agricultural groups.
  • Customer Onboarding: own end-to-end onboarding and deployment handoff to ensure customer success.
  • Field Learnings & Feedback: gather customer feedback and advocate for territory needs internally.
  • Collaborating with Support Teams: work with product, support, and onboarding teams to resolve issues.
  • Attending Industry Events: represent Halter at events like CattleCon and local livestock meetups.
  • Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: provide input to optimize and evolve the sales process for the US market.

What they require

  • Ranching / Cattle Experience
  • Sales & Customer Success Expertise with history of creating new business and negotiating value-based sales
  • Territory Management experience, ideally within agriculture or technology
  • Driven attitude, strong communication skills, proactive and adaptable
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the territory
