What you'll do

  • Define and continuously refine vision, strategy, and measurable objectives for assigned products.
  • Develop and maintain an outcome‑oriented product roadmap balancing regulatory, operational, UX, and technical considerations.
  • Lead structured discovery (stakeholder interviews, journey mapping, qualitative research, workshops).
  • Partner with Analytics and business teams to translate data and operational metrics into product insights and hypotheses.
  • Translate problems into epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria and edge cases.
  • Collaborate daily with Engineering, Architecture, UX, and Operations to shape feasible solutions and ensure adherence to technical, security, and data standards.
  • Own the product backlog: prioritize by customer impact, risk, regulatory needs, dependencies, and capacity using frameworks (RICE, WSJF).
  • Act as product lead within Agile ceremonies (planning, backlog refinement, reviews).
  • Oversee functional validation: define test scenarios, support test case design, review results, accept/reject work.
  • Coordinate release readiness including communications, training inputs, support playbooks, and monitoring plans.
  • Define and track product KPIs and success metrics (adoption, task completion, error/incident rates, cycle times, NPS/CSAT).
  • Analyze product performance, run/interpret small experiments (A/B tests, pilots), and adjust roadmap/backlog accordingly.
  • Serve as primary product contact for designated business areas (Client Service, Operations, Placement, Finance).
  • Facilitate cross‑functional decision making and present recommendations to governance forums.
  • Support change adoption with Training, Communications, and local leaders.
  • Provide peer coaching and informal mentoring to Associate and Technology Product Analysts.
  • Contribute to evolving product management practices by sharing lessons, templates, and patterns.

What they require

  • Advanced understanding of end‑to‑end product lifecycle management consistent with recognized product curricula.
  • Ability to articulate product vision and tie decisions to business outcomes, operational efficiency, client value, and risk management.
  • Strong skills in qualitative and quantitative discovery: interviews, workshops, journey/process mapping, synthesis into hypotheses.
  • Proficiency writing high‑quality epics, features, user stories, and non‑functional requirements.
  • Ability to define meaningful product KPIs and partner with Analytics to interpret usage and experiment results.
  • Solid understanding of web/SaaS product concepts: multi‑tier architectures, integrations, APIs, roles/permissions, environments.
  • Working knowledge of insurance brokerage concepts or ability to develop expertise quickly.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills to align stakeholders and manage trade‑offs.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and dependencies concurrently.
  • Comfort operating in Agile environments and collaborating with Scrum Masters, Engineers, QA, and partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 4–6 years progressive experience in product management/product analysis with direct ownership of roadmaps and backlogs for business applications or SaaS products.
