What you'll do

  • Sustain, scale, and continuously improve operational and software development processes within Compute Systems Engineering and across collaborating teams, partners, customers, and vendors.
  • Coordinate programs across hardware and software engineering, infrastructure, cloud operations, customer support, and external technology partners.
  • Help teams manage complex dependencies.
  • Identify and address risks.
  • Improve execution.
  • Establish processes that continue to work as infrastructure scale and complexity grow.
  • Operate across organizational boundaries.
  • Work with incomplete information.
  • Bring clarity and structure to technically complex, long-running infrastructure programs.
  • Assist teams with program execution, technical coordination, documentation, process development, issue investigation, or operational improvements when needed.

What they require

  • Approximately five to ten years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex technical programs across multiple teams, identify dependencies and risks, establish clear ownership, and drive programs toward measurable outcomes.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive cross-functional relationships with engineering teams, business partners, customers, and vendors.
  • Relevant technical knowledge and a strong curiosity about how systems work.
  • Ability to understand technical details and communicate effectively with engineers.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing long-running infrastructure programs with numerous technical dependencies, milestones, stakeholders, and operational requirements.
  • Open-minded and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to simplify, adapt, replace, or fundamentally redesign existing processes when doing so will improve efficiency, execution, or reliability.
  • Hands-on mindset and willingness to contribute directly when needed.
  • Preferred: Experience working on Cloud computing, high-performance computing, accelerated computing, large-scale infrastructure, or similarly complex engineering programs.
  • Preferred: Experience with device drivers, the Linux kernel, virtualization technologies, or firmware development and lifecycle-management processes.
