What you'll do

  • Own end-to-end delivery for programs that touch a dozen services at once, such as architecture migrations, compliance remediations, and legacy system sunsets.
  • Partner with Product Management and GTM stakeholders on platform changes with customer-facing impact.
  • Keep rollouts, communications, and external commitments aligned with engineering delivery.
  • Drive adoption of shared platform capabilities by other engineering teams.
  • Manage multi-team migrations involving downstream consumers, external commitments, and legacy constraints.
  • Run dependency maps, risk logs, decision records, and recurring check-ins for concurrent programs.
  • Bring rigor to measuring delivery health, including incident counts, adoption rates, and time-to-land.
  • Use delivery health metrics to drive change.
  • Embed with the team's engineering leadership and understand every active program.
  • Reshape how the group plans, tracks, and communicates delivery.
  • Act as the trusted operating partner for the group.
  • Surface cross-team dependencies earlier.
  • Build mechanisms that help the team deliver with a repeatable rhythm.
  • Identify the next compounding problem to solve.

What they require

  • Experience running complex, cross-functional technical programs where the candidate shaped technical decisions, not just tracked them.
  • Ability to hold your own in deep engineering conversations and understand technical debates and their importance.
  • Ability to bring structure to ambiguity without over-engineering it.
  • Experience working where the consumers of your output are other engineering teams, such as infrastructure, data pipelines, or internal APIs.
  • Experience managing a migration or sunset with real downstream impact.
  • Direct communication style with short sentences, clear asks, and no filler.
  • Ability to write decisions down and ensure the right people see them.
  • Comfortable in Jira, Confluence, and the rest of a modern engineering toolchain, with opinions about how they should be used.
  • Preferred: Background in infrastructure, data engineering, or applied AI/ML platforms.
  • Preferred: Experience inside a SaaS company through a phase of platform consolidation or modernization.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with SLOs or monitoring practice as a delivery signal, not just an SRE artifact.
