What you'll do

  • Provide Independent Engineering advisory support for technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities for Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) Program.
  • Conduct independent technical due diligence on engineering design, technology readiness, construction feasibility, and operational assumptions.
  • Convert engineering, construction, compliance, operating, commercial, and risk findings into lender-ready due diligence, monitoring, certification, and decision-support outputs.
  • Prepare defensible work products including due diligence plans, information request logs, milestone trackers, and technical summary reports.
  • Support conditions precedent and disbursement readiness reviews; prepare completion and disbursement certification materials where applicable.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders to support lender and DOE decision-making.
  • Participate in data room reviews, borrower/contractor interviews, site observations, monthly monitoring meetings, and issue closure tracking.
  • Provide construction monitoring, EPC oversight, and long-term operations monitoring input suitable for lender review.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, business, risk management, finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory experience; demonstrated work on oil & gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.
  • Demonstrated experience performing technical due diligence, risk assessment, and preparation of lender-ready independent engineer reports.
  • Experience with construction monitoring, EPC oversight, conditions precedent validation, disbursement certification, and lifecycle monitoring.
  • Ability to produce defensible, traceable documentation and translate technical evidence into actionable risk, compliance, and financing implications.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to perform Excel-based analysis; proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with data room processes and information request tracking.
  • GSA Labor Category: Senior Consultant / Senior Consultant II alignment preferred.
  • Security clearance is a valuable asset and necessary for engagement teams managing sensitive federal work.
