What you'll do

  • Serve as a strategic technical lead, bridging the gap between Komodo’s data ecosystem and customers’ most critical business objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of sophisticated AI tooling, specifically Marmot, Komodo’s proprietary AI engine.
  • Integrate Komodo’s data into the core of industry leading healthcare organizations.
  • Engineer creative solutions after initial implementation and maintain a feedback loop to ensure the technology solves real-world patient problems.
  • Become the go-to expert on Komodo’s AI capabilities, helping customers navigate machine learning in healthcare.
  • Be the primary customer-facing technical resource responsible for ensuring delivery milestones are achieved on schedule.
  • Lead requirements gathering.
  • Execute hands-on data deliveries.
  • Turn ambiguous client workflows into concrete realities.
  • Serve as the primary internal advocate for customers, ensuring their technical priorities and pain points are understood and addressed by Komodo’s internal product teams.
  • Act as the central point of contact between Sales, Delivery, Support, and Product to keep internal teams aligned on each customer’s technical roadmap.
  • Establish a clear source of truth for every project.
  • Build and maintain thorough technical documentation, roadmap tracking, and system hygiene.
  • Proactively identify functional gaps in data or workflow requirements.
  • Design technical bridges to ensure seamless experiences.
  • Obtain an understanding of Komodo’s Healthcare Map, platform, and suite of products.
  • Execute customer product delivery on schedule and at high quality, driving in-depth technical discussions and hands-on data delivery.
  • Contribute to Komodo’s playbooks and internal knowledge base.
  • Scope and solution both standard and non-standard workflows to determine the optimal path for delivering client value.
  • Facilitate detailed data conversations with Komodo’s Legal and Compliance teams, distilling and communicating compliance boundaries to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and scalability within delivery workflows to transform repetitive tasks into streamlined, repeatable processes.
  • Mobilize cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Data, and Customer Success to diagnose and resolve technical customer bottlenecks and bespoke requests.

What they require

  • Strong foundational knowledge in data queries (SQL or similar), database schemas, and data architecture concepts.
  • A strong understanding of core AI/ML concepts and an excitement to master Komodo’s product ecosystem.
  • Proficient in using generative AI tools to accelerate workflow automation and your own development productivity.
  • A foundational, operational understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure, Snowflake data warehousing, and API technologies.
  • Hands-on experience automating data execution tasks and pipelines using Snowflake Tasks, Airflow, or scripting languages.
  • Experience collaborating directly with a diverse range of stakeholders, from engineers to non-technical business leaders and customer stakeholders.
  • Ability to break down complex technical hurdles into clear, actionable updates for a CEO or a Data Engineer alike.
  • A track record of managing multiple complex, multi-stakeholder projects with high accuracy, proactive communication, and rigorous internal system hygiene.
  • Intellectual curiosity and an excitement for new challenges.
  • Solutions-oriented thinker who enjoys navigating ambiguous situations and finding strategic ways forward through complex roadblocks.
  • Genuinely motivated by the prospect of using data to improve patient lives.
  • Dedicated teammate who proactively shares knowledge and best practices to elevate the quality of work across the entire team.
  • Expected to integrate AI into daily work, from summarizing documents to automating workflows and uncovering insights.
  • Preferred: Prior professional experience working within the healthcare, life sciences, or healthtech industries, giving baseline familiarity with medical or scientific data workflows.
  • Preferred: A degree in a technical or quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Analytics, Health Informatics, or equivalent practical technical experience.
