What you'll do

  • Manage and deliver industry and mechanical-engineering training for every company new hire.
  • Own discovery and demo certification for Account Executives end to end.
  • Define the certification rubric, run live assessments, and withhold sign-off until reps pass.
  • Build and maintain the industry fluency curriculum.
  • Systematize existing technical onboarding content so it is assessable, measurable, and certified against.
  • Run live technical coaching sessions for new hires and reps needing remediation.
  • Provide real-time practice and feedback, including on-demand content.
  • Establish a certification renewal cycle.
  • Keep the curriculum current and refresh it within two weeks of any major product release.
  • Own product training fluency across the team.
  • Work with PMM and the Solutions Engineering team to deliver or co-deliver product trainings.
  • Certify reps on new and existing functionality.
  • Ensure product knowledge sticks across the team.
  • Partner with the AE Onboarding Manager as facilitator for technical and demo content in every AE cohort.
  • Turn technical objections surfaced by the Field Enablement Coach into curriculum updates or targeted sessions.
  • Co-run coaching when an issue is rooted in technical fluency.
  • Partner with Product and PMM to translate release notes and positioning into updated demos and certifications within the two-week SLA.
  • Report certification pass rates to Revenue Excellence leadership.
  • Flag reps struggling technically and escalate persistent gaps that may indicate a hiring-bar issue.

What they require

  • 3–6 years as a Solutions Engineer or Pre-Sales Engineer who has run hundreds of technical demos.
  • Direct industry background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, enablement or product design.
  • Experience working as a mechanical engineer or selling and supporting as a Solutions Engineer within a complex mechanical space such as automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, medical devices, or similar.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of CAD and PLM tools.
  • Natural aptitude for teaching and coaching.
  • Ability to break down complex concepts for a non-technical audience without condescension.
  • Formal training experience is welcome but not essential.
  • Experience building or contributing to technical enablement curriculum, not just delivering it.
  • Collaborative relationship with Product and PMM.
  • Ability to act as a bridge between the field and the product organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent facilitation skills.
  • Ability to break down complex topics to easily train stakeholders.
  • Frequent travel required.
  • Preferred: Experience using conversation intelligence tools to support a strong coaching culture.
  • Preferred: Experience working at a software-as-a-service company.
  • Preferred: Ability to tackle large, ambiguous challenges you haven’t faced before.
  • Preferred: Advanced CoLab knowledge across all products.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with common sales methodologies such as Sandler, Challenger, and Command of the Message.
