What you'll do

  • Provide Independent Engineering advisory support for EDF Program technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities.
  • Perform diligence reviews, document analysis, information request tracking, and prepare technical risk summaries and findings reports.
  • Compile diligence findings, analyze project data, support document review and credit evaluation, and prepare lender-ready outputs.
  • Validate assumptions, identify risks and mitigations, and support conditions precedent and disbursement readiness reviews where applicable.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders to support lender and DOE decision-making.
  • Prepare defensible work products including data rooms, information request logs, diligence trackers, technical summaries, and findings reports.
  • Participate in data room reviews, borrower/contractor interviews, site observations, monthly monitoring meetings, risk register updates, CP evidence reviews, draw package checks, issue closure tracking, and preparation of Independent Engineer reports.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, business, risk management, finance, or related field.
  • 3-7 years of relevant technical, analytical, project controls, configuration, finance, or energy infrastructure support experience; DOE/LPO or federal energy program exposure preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, CQA, CIA, ISO Lead Auditor, CHMM, CSP, or PMI-RMP preferred.
  • Experience with independent engineering review, technical due diligence, risk assessment, data room review, and information request tracking.
  • Experience preparing technical risk summaries, defensible documentation, and lender-ready due diligence deliverables.
  • Competencies required: technical judgment; independence and objectivity; analytical rigor; attention to detail; defensible documentation; client service orientation; cross-functional collaboration; issue escalation; quality mindset; schedule discipline; ability to translate technical evidence into actionable risk, compliance, and financing implications.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word); proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio; ability to quickly learn other tools as needed.
