What you'll do

  • Provide Independent Engineering advisory support for EDF Program technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities, emphasizing strategic leadership of technical advisory services, multidisciplinary reviews, and executive-quality deliverables.
  • Review project documentation, evaluate technical and commercial interfaces, identify risks and mitigations, and validate assumptions.
  • Support conditions precedent and disbursement readiness reviews where applicable.
  • Prepare defensible work products including technical governance, expert coordination, executive summaries, quality reviews, and advisory recommendations.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders to support timely lender and DOE decision-making.
  • Manage multidisciplinary engineering advisory teams, technical advisory services, deliverable integration, subject matter expert coordination, and executive-level technical reporting.
  • Participate in data room reviews, borrower/contractor interviews, site observations, monthly monitoring meetings, risk register updates, CP evidence reviews, draw package checks, issue closure tracking, and preparation of Independent Engineer reports.

What they require

  • 15+ years of progressive energy infrastructure, engineering advisory, project finance, program management, or independent engineering experience.
  • 5+ years leading multidisciplinary teams, client delivery, and senior stakeholder engagement for federal, lender, or owner-side programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, finance, business, or related field; advanced degree, PE, PMP, PgMP, or equivalent senior delivery credential preferred.
  • Experience with Independent Engineering review; U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Loan Programs Office (LPO)-style documentation discipline; technical due diligence; risk assessment; credit evaluation; lifecycle monitoring.
  • Ability to produce lender-ready, technically defensible deliverables and translate technical evidence into actionable risk, compliance, and financing implications.
  • Clear presentation of findings for credit, construction, monitoring, and certification decisions; report writing and Excel-based analysis.
  • Regional availability: Remote (within USA - W/ On-Site Meetings Expected); work across CONUS and at project sites nationwide.
  • Engagement type: Exempt 1099 Contract (contingent).
  • Security clearance is necessary for engagement teams managing sensitive work in the Federal Marketplace; clearance is a valuable asset.
