Leads the entire Technical Account Management team at Supabase. Requires deep technical depth (database internals, scalability, security), experience building and coaching a technical customer-facing team, and a background in engineering, SRE, or technical consulting. Fully remote, global.

What you'll do

  • Hire, coach, and grow the TAM team, including onboarding through the TAM Path ramp
  • Run regular 1:1s, set individual development plans, and give direct feedback on account plans, QBRs, and escalation handling
  • Build and maintain repeatable playbooks (upgrade runbooks, optimization playbooks, escalation patterns)
  • Set and hold consistency for technical depth, proactivity, and communication across the team
  • Own the coverage model for the entire function, deciding who is assigned where and closing gaps
  • Manage the named accounts book (~$33.1M ARR across 120 accounts) and partner-mapped accounts
  • Run the quarterly review and refresh of assigned accounts, rebalancing books as needed
  • Resolve open coverage gaps and approve leadership-discretion assignments or cap exceptions
  • Make trim/reassign calls when an account is dropped for capacity
  • Ensure every assigned account has a clear, accountable technical owner
  • Spot-check account documentation, architecture understanding, and risk tracking across the book
  • Step in directly on the most strategic or highest-risk accounts
  • Audit that architecture and deployment validation is happening post-sale
  • Coach TAMs on configuration guidance and best-practice delivery
  • Track early success milestones across the portfolio
  • Ensure environment reviews and risk/optimization surfacing happen on a regular cadence across the whole book
  • Serve as the escalation layer above individual TAMs, handling complex, multi-session issues
  • Coordinate across support, engineering, and success during major incidents
  • Own execution of the Named Account Escalation SLA sequence when triggered
  • Ensure root cause analysis and preventative action close out
  • Isolate TAMs from technical repair work so they can focus on relationships
  • Keep account plans aligned to customer roadmaps and engage personally on capacity/architecture for top accounts
  • Represent the aggregated voice of the customer (patterns across accounts) to engineering and product
  • Maintain the operating agreement between TAM and Support and be the point of escalation
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success leadership on portfolio health, retention, and NRR
  • Work with Parnter Account Quarterbacks, Parnter Managers, and Solutions Architects to keep technical relationships current
