Part-time remote TVI contractor for a Texas-based school district, 15–20 hours/week. Must have valid Texas Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments certification and experience with school-aged visually impaired students.

What you'll do

  • Provide direct virtual instruction and consultation services to students with visual impairments.
  • Develop and implement individualized instructional plans aligned with each student's IEP.
  • Collaborate with special education staff, classroom teachers, related service providers, and families.
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain timely, accurate documentation.
  • Complete required service logs, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with district personnel regarding student needs and progress.

What they require

  • Valid Texas certification as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI).
  • Experience working with school-aged students with visual impairments.
  • Preferred: Previous virtual or teletherapy experience.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a private workspace suitable for telepractice.
