We are partnering with a well-established public accounting firm seeking a Tax Accountant with 3–5 years of public accounting experience to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working with privately held businesses, business owners, executives, and high-net-worth individuals while building a long-term career in a collaborative environment. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely for qualified candidates, along with exposure to a wide variety of tax planning, compliance, and advisory engagements. Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, S corporations, and individuals Prepare complex individual tax returns for business owners, executives, and high-net-worth clients Research tax issues and assist with tax planning and consulting projects Communicate directly with clients via phone, email, and virtual meetings Collaborate with partners and senior staff on client engagements and advisory initiatives Ensure timely and accurate compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations Assist with special tax projects and client consulting engagements Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail Requirements 3–5 years of public accounting experience focused on tax Experience preparing business entity and complex individual tax returns Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills CPA license or active CPA candidate preferred Ability to work independently in a remote environment while effectively managing priorities Must reside within the Eastern or Central time zone Candidates with less experience should be available for occasional travel to the Allentown, PA office for training and collaboration Highly experienced candidates may qualify for a fully remote arrangement with minimal travel Benefits Fully remote opportunity for qualified candidates 100% employer-paid employee health insurance SIMPLE retirement plan with dollar-for-dollar company match up to 3% Additional paid time off earned through overtime beyond the first 60 hours annually Employees commonly earn 4–6 weeks of PTO each year Flexible, collaborative, and supportive team environment Opportunity to work on sophisticated business and individual tax engagements Direct mentorship from experienced partners and firm leadership Clear path for long-term professional growth and career advancement
What you'll do
