What you'll do

  • Oversee the repossession of vehicles and the subsequent remarketing and sale of repossessed assets.
  • Manage multiple vendor relationships.
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure repossession and remarketing agents meet and exceed core KPIs.
  • Hire, train, develop, and performance manage the team in a remote environment.
  • Be personally responsible for day-to-day operations and overall performance.
  • Perform hiring, training, progressive discipline, and termination activities.
  • Develop strategic remarketing processes and relationships.
  • Conduct operational performance reviews, issue resolution, market condition updates, and customer needs response.
  • Manage assignment, storage, transportation, and auction vendor relationships, including validation of services, disputes, and complaints.
  • Develop strategic solutions that create added value.
  • Oversee daily pre-sale reviews.
  • Ensure vehicle attributes are updated to maximize vehicle value.
  • Update floors to reflect trending values.
  • Manage and protect collateral to ensure an efficient and effective process for every vehicle.
  • Review inventory regularly to validate success from auction assignment to time sold.
  • Ensure legal sale date has expired.
  • Ensure vehicles have been transported and secured at auction.
  • Collaborate with other teams for holds to be removed accordingly.
  • Coordinate with the Titles department to ensure titles are sent to and received by auctions.
  • Coordinate and ensure proper documentation for all vehicle redemptions.
  • Establish timely scheduling of vehicles for sale at auction.
  • Ensure processes are completed within expected timeframes.
  • Perform audits before and after sale to validate expenses are proper and approved where needed.
  • Establish and maintain excellent service to internal and external partners to enhance recoveries and improve efficiencies.
  • Protect company interests by ensuring actions comply with organizational goals, objectives, policies and procedures, and state and federal laws.
  • Ensure performance standards are achieved and maintained.
  • Manage the team responsible for closing deals to sell vehicles on time and for the best pricing possible.
  • Handle department responsibilities including generation and monitoring of reports and letters.
  • Evaluate, schedule, and conduct required coaching with team members.

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field and 3-5 years of supervisory role preferred, or proven equivalent experience.
