AECOM is seeking a Substation Engineering Lead with a specialization in utility substation design for the power delivery industry. The role focuses on the physical design of utility-scale substations and requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, 6+ years of high voltage substation design experience, a PE license, and experience with AutoCAD/MicroStation and CDEGS/WinIGS.

What you'll do

  • Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for substation scopes.
  • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.
  • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings
  • Communicates client interests and drivers to project team members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant high voltage substation design (physical) experience
  • Professional engineer license (PE)
  • Experience with use of AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation
  • Experience with use of CDEGS, WinIGS
