ABOUT GRAI
GRAI is reimagining how music is discovered and shared, created around the social layer of it. We're pre-launch, moving fast, and building the infrastructure for how the next generation of artists connects with their audience.
THE ROLE
We believe music spreads through people. Your job is to make GRAI the app a campus is already talking about by finding people who set the taste in their circle and giving them a reason to bring everyone else in.
You'll build GRAI's student community function from zero: the framework for how we work with universities and high schools in the US, the ambassador base that runs it on the ground, and the playbook that makes it repeatable community by community. This is not a broad-reach role: we'd rather own three campuses completely than show up on thirty with no depth.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- The framework for how GRAI works with students — universities & schools: how we enter, who we talk to first, what we offer, etc.
- Node identification — mapping the groups that actually move a campus (Greek life, sports teams, music orgs, student radio, party promoters) and getting to the people inside them
- The ambassador base end to end — recruiting, contracts, incentives, onboarding, keeping them active
- Density over spread — seeding each campus past critical mass before opening the next one
- On-the-ground activations — parties with GRAI’s music, sticker and QR drops, on-site quizzes, etc. Test and iterate, kill what doesn't work
- Relationships with student orgs, university admins and school authorities where formal approval is needed
- The feedback loop into product and marketing: what students actually do with the app, feature requests
- The playbook on how to turn what worked at campus one into a system someone else can run at campus ten
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- You've successfully built and scaled a student, creator or ambassador program before
- Talking to people is your strength. Cold DMs, getting on a call with a student union, showing up at a party — none of that reads as awkward to you
- Operator instincts: contracts, trackers, payouts and follow-ups don't get dropped
- Music & trends are your heartbeat. You know what's playing on a campus before it charts
- US-based, willing to travel to campuses
WHAT WE OFFER
- A function to build from scratch, with a direct line to the leading team
- Ground-floor moment at a music tech company with serious backing and a clear thesis
- Competitive compensation + equity
- Flexibility in how you work
- US / remote
