What you'll do

  • Responsible for all supplier commercial relationships within the assigned business areas, securing targeted levels of cost, quality, delivery, sustainability, and supply continuity.
  • Develop and implement assigned supplier strategies that meet internal and external customer demands.
  • Support new product development activities by setting supplier strategies, managing costs to meet product margin goals, and helping to launch product to mass production.
  • Complete and manage the lifecycle of supplier contracts including corporate agreements, annual pricing negotiations and awards, payment terms, and inventory.
  • Develop and align supplier technical roadmaps in partnership with Sales and Engineering.
  • Manage supplier performance and rating based on KPIs for Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Drive supplier and spend consolidation across multiple sites within the NA region.
  • Find, assess, and develop new suppliers as needed.
  • Assess and complete PPV activities including budgeting, forecasting, and reducing PPV impact.
  • Support sites as needed to ensure critical customer service levels via supplier escalation, alternate sourcing, secondary sourcing.
  • Travel internationally to support development and launch activities (up to 50%).

What they require

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or relevant field (required).
  • Minimum 5 years of business or procurement experience (required).
  • Experience negotiating with suppliers in a low volume manufacturing business.
  • Background in electronic (printed circuit board assembly, wire/cable assemblies, controls, semiconductors) and thermal (pumps, fans, compressors) components.
  • Experience in international supply chain management, incoterms, and landed costs.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to domestic and/or international sites as required.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology and assigned categories.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strategic supplier relationships, performance improvement, development, and integration.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary company information.
