Responsibilities
- Supports GitLab’s strategic large prospects and customers.
- Provide account leadership and direction in the pre- and post-sales process
- Conduct sales activities including prospecting and developing opportunities in large/strategic accounts
- Ensure the successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products through strong account management activities and coordination with pre-and-post sales and support resources
- Be the voice of the customer by contributing product ideas to our public issue tracker
- Generate qualified leads and develop new customers in conjunction with our strategic channel partners .
- Expand knowledge of industry as well as the competitive posture of the company
- Prepare activity and forecast reports
- Contribute to root cause analysis on wins/losses.
- Communicate lessons learned to the team, including account managers, the marketing team, and the technical team
- Assist sales management in conveying customer needs to product managers, and technical support staff
- Utilize a consultative approach, discuss business issues with prospect and develop a formal quote, a written sales proposal or a formal sales presentation addressing their business needs.
- Develop an account plan to sell to customers based on their business needs.
- Collaborate with Marketing on marketing strategies.

- Lead account strategy for enterprise customers as a trusted technology advisor
- Coordinate Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Sales Development, Channel and Alliances, and technical specialists
- Craft solutions aligning GitLab's platform with customer vision, compliance needs, and business objectives
- Build strategic partnerships by understanding customer industries, success metrics, and growth plans
- Design and execute strategic account plans including opportunity mapping and stakeholder alignment
- Lead customer journeys from discovery through evaluation, negotiation, and implementation
- Contribute to forecasting, pipeline reviews, win/loss analyses, and go-to-market improvements

- Background selling into large enterprise accounts in San Francisco, United States
- Ability to build trusted C-level and senior stakeholder relationships across business and technical teams
- Knowledge of the San Francisco enterprise market, including key industries, buying centers, and decision-making dynamics
- Ability to drive new business acquisition and expansion within enterprise accounts through consultative, multi-stakeholder sales motions
- Experience collaborating with channel and strategic partners to generate pipeline, co-sell, and support customer adoption
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead account strategy, influence internal and external stakeholders, and remain calm under pressure
- Ability to work in line with GitLab's values, use GitLab and Salesforce in daily work, and travel as needed
