What you'll do

  • Own sourcing strategy and commercial execution across logistics, warehousing, freight, returns, and related categories.
  • Lead RFQ, RFP, and competitive bid processes, including supplier selection, pricing negotiations, SLA alignment, contract terms, and multi-year commercial agreements.
  • Deliver measurable cost reductions across freight, 3PLs, and returns providers through supplier benchmarking, cost modeling, and vendor negotiations.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, cost models, and reporting workstreams that track spend, savings, supplier performance, and key cost drivers across the portfolio.
  • Establish KPIs and supplier scorecards covering cost, service, quality, on-time performance, and responsiveness.
  • Lead regular business reviews to drive accountability.
  • Partner with Logistics, Finance, Operations, and Program teams to align sourcing decisions with service requirements, launch timelines, forecast changes, and business priorities.
  • Strengthen supplier governance and contract management to improve decision-making and operational execution and build long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Standardize sourcing processes, commercial documentation, and supplier management practices to improve scalability.
  • Own sourcing strategy, supplier management, and commercial execution across key logistics spend categories impacting cost of goods sold, initially focused on logistics, warehousing, freight, returns, and related business operations spend.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, or supply chain, with meaningful ownership of indirect spend categories.
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiations, RFQ/RFP management, and contracting.
  • Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and project management skills with the ability to develop tools and dashboards for reporting workstreams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Experience sourcing logistics, freight, warehousing, 3PL, returns, or related operational services.
  • Mastery and knowledge of global trade compliance with the ability to integrate cost tradeoffs into a cohesive sourcing strategy.
  • Preferred: Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving processes and shifting priorities.
  • Preferred: Experience in consumer electronics, medical device, consumer product, or similarly complex physical product environments.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with contract manufacturing and global supply chain networks including knowledge of tariffs, regulatory requirements, Incoterms, and Freight Forwarding.
  • Preferred: Experience managing suppliers across North America, Europe, and Asia.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance cost, quality, and speed.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and creating structure in areas that do not yet have mature ownership or standardized processes.
  • Passion for building scalable sourcing systems and supplier partnerships that enable world-class manufacturing performance.
  • Strong judgment in balancing short-term business needs with long-term supplier strategy.
  • Collaborative, team-first approach and the ability to lead through influence.
  • Candidates must not reside in Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, or Wisconsin.
