What you'll do

  • Oversee the plan, design, and execution of data modeling, normalization, and transformation activities to build an advanced healthcare data architecture.
  • Lead design and mapping of source data to FHIR, OMOP and STDM, including normalization, enrichment, deduplication and standardization to terminologies like SNOMED, LOINC and RxNorm.
  • Oversee integration and ingestion strategies for multi-sourced healthcare data via interoperability protocols such as FHIR, HL7 and X12 ED and architect robust data pipelines for large-volume data.
  • Champion data quality initiatives, establish standards/processes, and apply expertise to solve complex, high-impact data issues.
  • Communicate data architecture and harmonization techniques to technical and non-technical stakeholders and drive exploration/adoption of ML/AI and emerging methodologies.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or medical related field and Master's degree in Clinical Informatics.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience working as a clinical informaticist, data architect or data integration engineer in Healthcare or Life Sciences industries.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in healthcare standards and controlled terminologies (SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm) and standard data models and interoperability standards (FHIR, OMOP, HL7, NCPDP, CCD-A).
  • Strong skills with SQL, Python, R, dbt, ETL tooling and Jupyter Notebook; experience with cloud computing platforms and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Preferred: PhD in Clinical Informatics, MD or PharmD; previous experience developing informatics solutions to support patient care or clinical research; knowledge of clinical practice and workflows.
