Career TEAM is looking to hire a Staff Accountant responsible for the coordination, compilation, and analysis of financial and cost information for the company and supporting grants/contracts. This role will focus on invoicing, reporting project financial status, managing project forecasts, and associated modeling for strategic planning and analysis for various contracts.

What you'll do

  • Establish procedures and policies to facilitate effective and efficient financial reporting and ensure compliance with Federal WIOA, local, State, and corporate policies.
  • Ensure that the project fulfills all financial obligations in a timely and economic manner in accordance with established policies and budgets within WIOA guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and working capital requirements.
  • Monitor government contracts and private restricted funding to ensure full financial utilization.
  • Process employee expenses, vendor project invoices and program payroll analytics.

What they require

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related concentration.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), be able to reconcile balance sheets and profit/loss reports, as well as implement fiscal management policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency using advanced computer skills in MS Excel and Accounting Software such as Quick Books.
  • Professional communication skills with a strong command of the English language both verbal and written.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience handling US government contracts is a plus.
