What you'll do

  • Design, code, test, and document software solutions that are high performing and intuitive, adhering to F&G’s software development methodologies, frameworks, standards, and security requirements.
  • Perform unit, regression, security, and load tests to validate the readiness of internally and externally developed code for production as required.
  • Design and develop complex integrations.
  • Develop, enhance, and support secure external integrations, including APIs built using .NET and Azure services, file-based interfaces, and ETL processes supporting distributors, carriers, aggregators, IMO groups, and other business partners.
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Informatica and data products in Snowflake to source, transform, validate, and deliver integration data.
  • Perform impact analysis for interface/system changes affecting the applications environment.
  • Develop estimates for project and maintenance work.
  • Design integrations for custom or third-party solutions, including DTCC integrations, proprietary data feeds, iPipeline Agency Integrator feeds, and future API-based partner integrations.
  • Assist with the design of architecture and solutions.
  • Translate undefined business problems and defined business objectives and goals into functional solutions.
  • Design with assistance within architectural standards.
  • Lead technical aspects of one or more applications within the function.
  • Technical ownership of one or more business-facing technologies to deliver business outcomes.
  • Interact with clients and stakeholders.
  • Support and interact with various IT teams and lines of business on integration efforts.
  • Provide production support for owned integrations and applications, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, defect resolution, and implementation of improvements that strengthen reliability and operational performance.
  • Mentor other engineers and provide technical guidance through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and delivery of complex solutions.

What they require

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering or application development experience, including experience designing, building, testing, and supporting production software solutions.
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including experience developing and supporting external data integrations and APIs in a regulated or highly governed environment.
  • Self-starter with a high energy level and willingness to take on responsibility
