What you'll do

  • Lead the end-to-end integration and testing of rack electrical solutions, including medium/low voltage systems (48V DC up to +/- 400V or 800V DC), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and power distribution units (PDUs) in varying form factors and product lines.
  • Participate in customer engagements and site visits to understand and document deployment constraints and gather feedback for design improvements.
  • Build accurate rack power budgets and model electrical capacity for both current and future high‑density server or switch configurations.
  • Manage relationships with electrical/power component vendors to build out a robust partner ecosystem consisting of PSUs, PDUs, bus bars, power shelves, and high voltage equipment.
  • Ensure all rack designs meet safety and certification requirements such as NEC/NFPA, IEEE, and UL/IEC.
  • Design, review, or integrate rack PDUs and power‑distribution components, including breaker configurations, metering, and load‑balancing features.
  • Perform detailed failure‑mode analysis, including FMEA and root‑cause investigations for electrical defects or field issues.
  • Define, validate, and improve factory electrical test strategies, including continuity testing, sequencing, load testing, and safety verification.
  • Be highly proficient in developing, updating, and interpreting electrical one‑line diagrams for rack‑level and row‑level power architectures, ensuring accurate representation of power flow, grounding, redundancy, and protection devices.
  • Collaborate with Architects/Compliance/Reliability and global vendors to align electrical architectures with total system design and international data center/power standards (e.g., OCP, ASHRAE, ANSI, TIA-942).
  • Develop and maintain design documentation including BOMs, specifications, test plans, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical failures or field issues.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Provide technical leadership by establishing long‑term electrical design standards, documentation, and best practices for rack engineering teams.
  • Translate one‑line diagrams into factory‑ready build documentation ensuring manufacturing teams can safely and consistently execute the electrical design during prototype builds and production ramp.
  • Generate cable layouts to minimize EMI/EMC issues in dense computing environments.

What they require

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in electrical systems integration
  • 4+ years of specific experience in rack-scale electrical/power design and analysis
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, integration strategies, and large-scale program management
  • Familiarity with server design (EIA-310, OCP/ORV3), 48V DC busbar connections, power plugs/receptacles, and power cable routing.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical safety tests such as hi-pot, ground-bond, leakage current, and continuity checks.
  • Writing and updating work instructions, assembly diagrams, test plans, and electrical schematics based on hands‑on build results.
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) with strong technical leadership capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative, self-motivated, accountable, and team-oriented
  • Able to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Capable of assessing projects, articulating risks, and developing project milestones
