What you'll do

  • Implement the full suite of Altera software solutions, with emphasis on Sunrise EMR (Core and Ambulatory), at client sites primarily in Manitoba.
  • Perform all project workplan tasks in accordance with contracted project scope as part of a project team (PMs, Solution Architects, Clinical Consultants, CMIOs).
  • Perform complex system configuration tasks and provide high-level consultation and technical guidance on system configuration to clients.
  • Provide expert workflow consultation and guidance to clients on ambulatory processes including registration, scheduling, and clinical documentation.
  • Translate existing paper-based clinic workflows into optimized electronic formats.
  • Proactively identify, resolve, and/or escalate system and complex workflow issues during implementation.
  • Provide comprehensive activation support and meet or exceed client utilization and transformation targets.
  • Set and manage expectations with client stakeholders from end-users to executive leadership and function as a client advocate.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience required.
  • 2+ years of hands-on healthcare IT implementation and configuration experience.
  • Strong demonstrated functional knowledge of an EMR/EHR system.
  • Specific expertise in Altera Sunrise EMR (Core or Ambulatory) preferred.
  • Experience with Epic or Meditech is valued when coupled with deep clinic workflow knowledge.
  • Experience working as part of a formal implementation project team that has successfully rolled out EMR systems.
  • Clinical background preferred (SME who has rolled out clinics).
  • Technical background (SQL or SSRS reporting) preferred.
  • Proven client presentation experience; strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Project management experience; ability to manage numerous priorities during long-term implementations.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel to Canada as required.
