Spring & Summer 2027 Intern - Financial Reporting

The Financial Reporting Intern supports the Professional Services team by applying XBRL tagging to documents and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will create and implement SEC reporting files for public companies, ensuring accuracy before filing deadlines.

What You'll Do

Create and implement regulatory reporting files in various taxonomies for public companies using industry-leading software

Apply XBRL tagging information to financial statements and statement footnotes

Tie-out XBRL tagging information within financial statements and statement footnotes to ensure accuracy prior to filing deadline

Support Professional Services Managers, and Directors while learning the core aspects of each position

Test features for Quality Assurance purposes and work with teams on special projects such as researching new mandates and creating XBRL tagging examples

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program in Accounting. GPA of 3.2+ preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Technically savvy and demonstrate a high level of competency using spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software

Strong communication and leadership skills demonstrated through leadership positions in community, school, or other programs

Professional, outgoing, energetic personality with excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Attention to detail and follow-through are required

Experience using Excel, Word, Google Docs, and similar word processing programs

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

Minimal travel

Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office
