Job Description: Provides engineering support to customers, customer support personnel and field support staff on systems and product issues. Works with customer and company personnel to define technical problem, determine the solution and assist customer in implementing the fix. Key Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, provision, configure, and maintain AWS environments. Ensure systems are optimized for cost, security, performance, and reliability. System Administration: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) operating systems across physical, virtual, and cloud platforms. Identity & Access Management: Manage, secure, and maintain Active Directory (AD), including Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and identity federation. Automation & Scripting: Write and maintain robust PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive system administration tasks, system deployments, and environment configuration. Network Maintenance: Support and troubleshoot basic networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, firewalls (security groups), VPNs, and DNS configuration. Monitoring & Performance: Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to identify bottlenecks and preemptively resolve infrastructure issues. Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices (patching, IAM roles, vulnerability remediation) across both Windows/Linux systems and AWS services. Collaboration: Work alongside development, DevOps, and security teams to support applications and deploy resources safely. Technical Skills & Qualifications Must-Have Requirement Professional Experience: 4–6 years of proven experience in Systems Administration and Cloud Infrastructure roles. AWS (Amazon Web Services): Strong experience with core services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Route 53, and CloudWatch. Windows Server Administration: Proficient in managing Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022/2025), IIS, clustering, and general server maintenance. Active Directory: Deep understanding of Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Group Policy management, user lifecycle management, and security integration. Linux Administration: Solid experience administering and troubleshooting Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL, or AlmaLinux) in an enterprise environment. PowerShell Scripting: Proficient in using PowerShell to automate tasks, query system info, and perform configuration management. Basic Networking: Strong understanding of foundational networking concepts (TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and load balancing). Good-to-Have Requirements: Python: Ability to write scripts or automation tools in Python (especially using libraries like boto3 for AWS automation). GCP (Google Cloud Platform): Familiarity with GCP services (Compute Engine, VPCs, IAM, GCS) is a strong plus to support potential multi-cloud environments. Certifications: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, MCSA/MCSE, or Linux (RHCSA/LFCS) certifications. Soft Skills & Core Competencies Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic and analytical skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
