What you'll do

  • Partner with account executives throughout the sales cycle to understand customer requirements and design tailored IAM and IGA solutions that address security, compliance, and operational needs.
  • Lead and deliver high-impact product demonstrations that showcase core IAM/IGA capabilities, including access governance, provisioning, lifecycle management, and policy enforcement.
  • Design and build custom demo environments and proof-of-concept (POC) implementations, including data modeling, configuration, and integration with customer systems.
  • Engage with technical stakeholders (security teams, identity architects, IT operations, developers) to perform technical discovery, requirement gathering, and solution validation.
  • Architect and explain solutions using modern identity standards and protocols such as SCIM and SAML, as well as REST-based API integrations with directories, HRIS, and SaaS applications.
  • Create technical documentation, solution diagrams, and implementation guides that clearly articulate recommended architectures and integration patterns.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering to relay customer feedback, influence product roadmap priorities, and stay ahead of evolving IAM and IGA use cases.
  • Support RFP/RFI responses and security questionnaires by contributing accurate, detailed technical content related to IAM/IGA capabilities and integrations.
  • Deliver presentations and technical workshops—both remote and onsite—for prospects, customers, and partners, tailoring the level of depth to executive, business, and technical audiences.
  • Work cross-functionally with Customer Success and Professional Services to ensure a smooth handoff from pre-sales to implementation, aligning expectations and solution design.
  • Continuously refine and improve demo scripts, environments, and technical sales assets to increase effectiveness and repeatability across the Solutions Engineering team.
  • Maintain a high level of self-organization and ownership over your territory, managing multiple opportunities, POCs, and stakeholder demands in parallel.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in IAM, IGA, and security to serve as a trusted advisor to customers and internal teams.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, supportive team culture by sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and participating in internal enablement sessions.

What they require

  • Located on the East Coast of the United States, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams across US time zones.
  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales, or similar technical customer-facing role supporting enterprise solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms, including configuration and deployment of common use cases.
  • Strong understanding of modern identity standards and protocols such as SAML and SCIM, with the ability to design and explain end-to-end authentication, authorization, and provisioning flows.
  • Experience building, testing, and troubleshooting RESTful API integrations between identity platforms and third-party applications, directories, or HR systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver compelling technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept environments customized to customer requirements.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage executives, business stakeholders, and deep technical audiences.
  • Proven organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a track record of taking initiative, solving problems independently, and driving opportunities forward.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments and contributes positively to team culture and shared goals.
  • Comfortable using common tools in a pre-sales environment (e.g., diagramming tools, CRM systems, collaboration platforms) and documenting technical solutions clearly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in IAM/IGA and technical sales.
