Solutions Engineer

REQUIREMENTS:

• Building, running automated tests (Integration tests, end-to-end testing)
• Containerization, Docker, Kubernetes
• Object-oriented programming
• Linux-based operating systems
• Scripting languages (bash/shell, Python, Javascript)
• Querying data (via SQL, NoSQL or other query engines)

PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Distributed systems background
• Automated testing, CI/CD, SRE background
• Containerization/Kubernetes experience

Must have native-level Japanese communication skills, both written and verbal. Must also have strong business-level communication skills in English.

This is an exciting opportunity to be the first Solutions Engineer in Japan working for a scaling technology company based in the United States. ABOUT THE ROLE:

You’ll be the first Solutions Engineer hire in this region and will help shape how we operate in Japan. In this role, you will partner with Account Executives and channel partners to technically qualify opportunities, deliver product demos, and build best practices for proof-of-concept engagements. As the only technical voice in the Japanese market, you will play a key role in translating field feedback and customer needs into product roadmap input. What you learn in the field, and what Japanese customers specifically need will help drive our roadmap. In addition, you will enable our channel partners on Antithesis technology, property-based testing. And related best practices. . You will support our go to market team in prospecting and provide technical support to partners in sales engagements as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead proof-of-concept (POC) engagements: design and execute POCs that demonstrate Antithesis’ value to new customers
• Support onboarding: help new customers embed Antithesis into their actual development workflow
• Partner with the sales team: own technical qualification and consultation
• Run customer workshops: on property-based testing (PBT) and other topics, delivered in Japanese
• Find bugs: break open source software and surface real defects
• Build, maintain, and demo the product
• Help stand up the Japan market: as the first hire, build the technical practices and knowledge base for Japan

ABOUT ANTITHESIS:

Antithesis builds an autonomous software testing platform that finds the bugs others miss. Our approach is fundamentally different from existing testing methods. We run a customer’s entire system inside a deterministic simulation and break it in every way imaginable.
