No BS summary

A strategy-led Social Media Manager, not a content creator: you own the brand's publishing calendar, community engagement, creator outreach and reporting on all channels, and decide what/why content works. Must be data-driven, a strong on-brand copywriter with an aesthetic eye, exceptionally organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote, async-first environment. Base anywhere in the world with availability for calls between 9:00 and 17:00 CET; fluent English.

What you'll do

  • Own and drive Paperlike's social media strategy across all brand channels
  • Use performance data to inform content decisions, optimize for growth, and identify opportunities
  • Stay on top of platform trends and algorithm shifts and know when to act on them
  • Bring strategic recommendations to leadership with clear rationale and measurable goals
  • Own the social publishing calendar end-to-end: planning, scheduling, and quality control
  • Write copy across all social channels with a consistent, on-brand voice
  • Project-manage the content production pipeline with the video producers and creative team: brief, review, deploy
  • Manage community engagement across all platforms, including DMs and comments
  • Lead creator seeding outreach: identify, contact, and start relationships with relevant creators
  • Track and report on social reach, engagement, and community growth on a regular cadence
  • Translate data into insights: not just numbers, but what they mean and what to do next

What they require

  • Track record of owning strategy (not just executing it)
  • Leads with data — reads performance metrics and uses them to make decisions
  • Strong copywriter
  • Genuine eye for aesthetics and understands what on-brand means in practice
  • Exceptionally organized
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, async-first environment

In 2017, Jan Sapper, Paperlike's founder and CEO, developed and launched a screen protector for the iPad that became an instant hit with digital artists and notetakers.
