​​ Looking for Philippines-based candidates Job Role: Senior Structural Engineer Compensation range: $2,000 AUD - $2,500 AUD / Monthly Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time. Who The Client Is: Our client is a long-standing Australian consultancy supporting a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial and rural projects. With broad technical capability and many years of industry experience, the practice delivers considered and dependable solutions while maintaining a practical, quality-focused approach. Role Overview: Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to work across a varied portfolio of structural and civil engineering projects involving residential, commercial and rural developments. The role is suited to an engineer who can provide sound technical input, contribute to project direction and support junior team members. With increasing autonomy across the project lifecycle, the successful candidate will help deliver practical, high-quality solutions while contributing to the continued development of the engineering team. Key Responsibilities: Deliver structural and civil designs from concept through to construction and completion Prepare and review designs in line with Australian Standards and client requirements Provide senior technical input across multiple projects Review site inspection reports, photographs and supporting documentation for footings, slabs, retaining walls, framing and steelwork, and provide remote technical input as required Manage design and construction issues as they arise Mentor junior engineers and support drafting staff as required Maintain quality, WHS and design compliance across all projects Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering consultancy experience Experience in residential and commercial structural engineering projects Experience in civil engineering, including earthworks, drainage, stormwater and road design Strong design, site and construction support experience Proficiency in structural design software and the preparation of engineering documentation Proficiency in AutoCAD for structural design and documentation Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive approach to work and problem-solving CPEng and RPEQ, or currently working toward these credentials Work Arrangement & Expectations: This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
