What you'll do

  • Partner with Enterprise Account Executives throughout complex technical sales engagements.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand customer architectures, security challenges, compliance requirements, and modernization initiatives.
  • Design technical solutions aligned with customer cloud-native environments.
  • Build customized demonstrations addressing customer-specific use cases.
  • Lead architecture discussions around Kubernetes, containers, software supply chain security, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Design and execute successful Proof of Concepts (POCs).
  • Guide customer engineering teams through deployment and validation.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during evaluations.
  • Drive successful technical outcomes that accelerate sales cycles.
  • Present RapidFort's platform to audiences ranging from DevSecOps engineers to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrate the business impact of vulnerability remediation, attack surface reduction, and software supply chain security.
  • Educate customers on modern cloud-native security best practices.
  • Represent RapidFort at customer meetings, executive briefings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Advise customers on Kubernetes security, container security, software supply chain security, and vulnerability management.
  • Consult on compliance initiatives including FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST, STIG, CIS Benchmarks, and SOC 2.
  • Help customers understand how RapidFort accelerates compliance while improving developer productivity.
  • Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to influence product direction.
  • Provide customer feedback that shapes future platform capabilities.
  • Create technical collateral, competitive positioning, and enablement content.
  • Mentor junior Solutions Engineers as the team grows.

What they require

  • Eligibility Requirement: U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of RapidFort's work supporting U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), federal agencies, and other regulated customer engagements.
  • 7+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Pre-Sales supporting enterprise cybersecurity or cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Containers & OCI Images, Cloud-native architectures, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of Container image construction, Multi-stage Docker builds, Image optimization, Kubernetes deployments, and Infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of Software Supply Chain Security, SBOMs, Vulnerability Management, CVEs, Container Security, and DevSecOps.
  • Experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles exceeding six months.
  • Demonstrated success using MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or comparable enterprise sales methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate equally effectively with engineers, architects, CISOs, and executive leadership.
  • Experience supporting seven-figure enterprise opportunities is highly desirable.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for both technical and business audiences.
  • Strong executive presence.
  • Comfortable leading technical workshops and architecture sessions.
  • Curious, customer-focused, and highly collaborative.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Self-directed with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Passionate about cybersecurity and continuous learning.
  • Preferred: Experience selling cybersecurity platforms.
  • Preferred: Background in Cloud Security, CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, or Software Supply Chain Security.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting DoD, Federal Civilian, Intelligence Community, or highly regulated commercial organizations.
  • Preferred: Active Security Clearance is a plus but not required.
