Senior Solutions Architect

At PERSUIT, we're transforming how in-house legal teams work with outside counsel and manage legal spend. Following our acquisition of Apperio in 2025, we're bringing together complementary capabilities across legal sourcing, spend management, e-billing, and analytics to deliver even greater value to our customers.

We're looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to play a critical role in designing solutions for our largest and most complex enterprise customers.

You'll lead discovery, solution design, and data mapping across sophisticated implementations, ensuring we deeply understand a client's requirements and translate them into a clear, scalable solution before implementation begins.

This role sits primarily within our post-sales organization, with a particular focus on our e-billing customers, while also partnering with our pre-sales team on complex enterprise opportunities where technical feasibility, integrations, and solution design need to be established early.

You'll work closely with senior client stakeholders as well as teams across PERSUIT, including Sales, Onboarding, Integrations, and Product. You'll also help strengthen our broader solutions capability by coaching and developing team members and serving as an escalation point for our most complex solution challenges.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead discovery, solution design, and data mapping for our largest and most complex enterprise onboarding projects, including data curation and reporting, invoice approval workflows, and integrations. Translate client requirements into clear solution designs and implementation briefs so our Onboarding and Integrations teams can execute against a well-defined scope and desired end state. Partner directly with senior client stakeholders across Legal, Procurement, Finance, and IT to understand business processes, technical requirements, and desired outcomes. Scope complex integrations with enterprise systems such as Workday, Oracle, NetSuite, and similar AP and financial systems. Identify and document non-standard commitments and requirements, including custom configurations, roadmap dependencies, timeline considerations, and unique data requirements, and ensure they are carried through implementation. Remain involved throughout implementation to provide solution oversight and guidance, while enabling other team members to own the day-to-day configuration and execution. Partner with Solutions Consultants on complex enterprise pre-sales opportunities to validate technical fit, solution feasibility, and implementation considerations before contracts are signed. Coach and upskill Onboarding Managers and Solutions Consultants, helping the broader team independently manage routine solution design while serving as an escalation point for more complex challenges. Bring insights from implementation back into our sales and discovery processes to improve scoping, discovery questions, effort estimates, and customer expectations. Partner with Product and other cross-functional teams to help inform future product capabilities and roadmap direction, including opportunities to leverage AI to better support our users.

Customers receive high-quality strategic and technical guidance throughout discovery and solution design. Complex implementations begin with clear, accurate scopes and well-defined solution briefs. Projects move efficiently from discovery into implementation with fewer surprises, scope changes, and misaligned expectations. Our Sales, Solutions, Onboarding, and Integrations teams are aligned on what has been promised and how it will be delivered. Team members become increasingly confident handling solution design independently, escalating only the most complex scenarios. Insights from customer implementations help improve how we sell, scope, deliver, and ultimately build our products.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

7+ years of relevant experience , with several years operating in a senior or lead solutions role. Senior-level experience in solutions architecture, solutions consulting, technical implementation, or a similar customer-facing technical role within legal technology, e-billing, or a comparable enterprise SaaS environment. Demonstrated experience leading discovery and solution design for complex, high-stakes enterprise customers . Experience mapping and scoping integrations across enterprise systems, including ERP, AP, financial, or other business-critical platforms. Strong ability to translate complex business, process, data, and technical requirements into clear and actionable solution designs. Confidence working directly with senior client stakeholders, including Legal, Procurement, Finance, and IT leaders. Ability to operate cross-functionally and bring structure and clarity to complex or ambiguous customer requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Direct experience within legal technology, e-billing, or legal spend management . Experience with enterprise systems such as Workday, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms . Experience coaching, mentoring, or upskilling others in a technical, implementation, or solutions capacity. Experience supporting both pre-sales solution design and post-sales implementation in an enterprise SaaS environment.

Work Authorization

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $165,000–$185,000 , depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
