What you'll do

  • Lead architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale technology solutions.
  • Conduct business and technical discovery sessions with stakeholders to identify requirements and solution strategies.
  • Develop solution architectures supporting cloud-native, hybrid, and enterprise application environments.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design through deployment and support.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations regarding adoption of new tools, platforms, and methodologies.
  • Support modernization initiatives involving cloud engineering, containerization, microservices, DevSecOps, and platform automation.
  • Design solutions utilizing multiple data stores, including relational and NoSQL technologies.
  • Develop architecture standards, interface standards, performance standards, and quality assurance practices.
  • Support implementation of enterprise data architecture, data governance, and metadata management strategies.
  • Provide guidance regarding data integration, data conversion, and enterprise information architecture initiatives.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Present technical recommendations, roadmaps, and architecture strategies to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support implementation of AI and machine learning capabilities where appropriate to enhance mission outcomes.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience designing and implementing enterprise technology solutions.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience serving in a Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architect, or similar senior technical leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud solutions.
  • Experience with AWS and familiarity with Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or other major cloud providers.
  • Strong experience leading software development initiatives utilizing Java, .NET, or similar enterprise technologies.
  • Experience serving as a technical lead across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, DevSecOps practices, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Experience designing architectures utilizing SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration, data architecture, and information management principles.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Preferred: Experience leading large-scale cloud migration initiatives.
  • Preferred: Experience with enterprise data architecture, metadata management, and data governance programs.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting federal government programs and enterprise modernization initiatives.
  • Preferred: Cloud, architecture, or cybersecurity certifications preferred.
