Nuuly is a cloud-based microservices platform powering an online garment rental experience and distribution logistics centers.
What you will do
- Produce architectural proposals and lead decision-making for platform evolution and new features.
- Deliver the full lifecycle of deployable features, including design, code, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with product teams to conduct technical feasibility analysis and inform product decisions.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions.
- Contribute to operational guidelines and system reliability via incident response and post-mortem analysis.
- Enforce development methodologies and identify improvements in codebase, tooling, and processes.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of software engineering experience, with ~2 years in a senior-level capacity.
- Strong proficiency in JVM languages (Kotlin, Java, or Scala preferred).
- Expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed system design patterns.
- Experience with GCP or other major cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with relational databases (Postgres) and data modeling.
- Practical experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Copilot) and prompt engineering for development tasks.
Nice to have
- Experience with streaming data and messaging technologies such as Kafka, Spark, or Storm.
