What you'll do

  • Review customer contracts and determine revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606.
  • Prepare technical accounting memos supporting revenue conclusions.
  • Execute month-end close activities, reconciliations, journal entries and variance analysis.
  • Support contract asset, deferred revenue, and contract liability accounting.
  • Partner cross-functionally to resolve revenue-impacting issues.
  • Support Merchant of Record accounting and reconciliations.
  • Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
  • Support audits and provide documentation.

What they require

  • 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant focus on revenue accounting.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP revenue recognition requirements.
  • Experience reviewing customer contracts and documenting accounting conclusions for complex revenue arrangements.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting audits within public accounting and/or corporate accounting environments.
  • Strong audit background required.
  • Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close deliverables, and supporting schedules.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and reconcile large datasets.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Public accounting experience, including Big Four or large regional firm experience, strongly preferred.
  • Currently, Cart.com does not intend to hire candidates who will need visa sponsorship; eligibility to work in the United States required.
